Life after the Benefit
Dec. 9th, 2007 10:13 amMissing missing meditation class today because of training but that prob won't happen often after this. I'm not normally scheduled for work on Sundays, so should be good from now on out.
Helped out doing security with Bear, Angel and Jeremy at a benefit for a teen who needed an organ transplant last night - was wonderful to see the outpouring of love and caring, generosity of spirit that all these people did for her and her family. Many Kudos to Lil' Angel, and Tracey, Michelle, oh Gods, can't even begin to name off all the people who were there to give of themselves, their time, their wallets, etc. And the food? Oh man, so much yum. Also, I won a movie-night basket in one of the raffles. Including a couple movies I haven't seen yet, yay!
It was held at the Hudson? Fish and Game Lodge and (sadly) we didn't get to bring home the elk head that was hanging on the wall (the antlers would have make EXCELLENT sword and dagger hilts!) or anything else that was hung on the wall for that matter, including several deer, a number of fish, a fox, etc. Oh yea, did I mention there was a stuffed BEAR there? And no, not the one we brought in to work security! *grin* Mary got a picture of Bear with BEAR, and if you look close, there does seem to be some resemblance! Just, you know, don't tell him I said that.
